Sonoma Mountain Business Cluster

Enabling Successful Technology Startups in the North Bay

Facilities

Maximize your Success!
Join us at SMBC.

SMBC is the North Bay ’s first business incubator. Our function as a business incubator is to assist & accelerate entrepreneurs and startup companies in achieving success. As such, our facility offers all of the things you would expect in executive office suites including furnished offices, conference/meeting rooms, kitchen facilities, relaxing lounge area, reception service, phone system with 24-hour auto-attendant & voicemail, business center including copier, printer, fax & scanner, plentiful free parking, and rents include utilities & janitorial.

Additionally, SMBC offers a fabulous campus-like setting, and is strategically located less than a mile from Sonoma State University in the heart of North America’s most eco-conscious community at Sonoma Mountain Village (SMV). SMV is the largest single development project in the North Bay (>$1B), and has been endorsed by the WWF (World Wildlife Fund) as an official One Planet Community — making it the first in North America and only the fourth in the world to meet the ambitious environmental targets of this program. SMV will be a beacon of sustainable development for others to follow.

"We decided to establish a North Bay office at the Business Cluster after seeing the progress the Cluster has made in attracting complementary types of businesses to ours, with the same kind of values associated with health and sustainability." — Mike Gunion, CEO of AspenAir Inside

"The Business Cluster is a good work environment.... We share an office with another business, College Postings, which is also just launching. We bounce ideas off each other, and even have a friendly competition going." — Peter Viviani, co-founder of Barspace Inc.

"Having a place like (the Business Cluster) to meet at is great for creating a good first impression. Not only does it look great; it shows we were smart enough to make the choice of coming here. And when we go on our sales visits, we tell our venues that we rent an office at SMBC. It sounds more legit than just a couple of guys trying to put web cams in bars." — Peter Viviani, co-founder of Barspace Inc.
"As a startup you want to manage resources very well; you don’t want to have excess space but still want access to additional space for certain situations. We have people who work remotely, but we want to get together periodically for meetings or social events." — Kent Argue, CEO of MosaicAssist
"Having an office to go to gets you into a routine and a structure. Interaction and structure were really what we needed to get focused." — Leo Stearns, CEO and president of Displ’aire Inc.
